The last day of the autumn term is always a joyous occasion at Liss Junior School, not just because there are two weeks holiday about to commence, but also because the whole school visits St Mary’s Church in the centre of Liss village. There we hold our Christmas carol service with songs, poems, readings from the Bible and prayers. The children from the Lower School also perform a tableaux recreating scenes from the Christmas story while the readings take place.
The church was packed for this morning’s service and there was a lovely atmosphere; a really nice way to finish the term.
We would like to ask our friends at Kafuro Primary School what the community of Kafuro does to celebrate Christmas bearing in mind that the school has been on holiday for a couple of weeks.
Finally, we would like to wish all of our friends at Kafuro a very Merry Christmas and an extremely prosperous 2015.
