Last Day at Liss

Today was the last day of the academic year at Liss Junior School. The Year 6 children who are moving on to secondary school performed a final assembly where they produced sketches poking fun at the teachers. Mr Burford told the school a story and made a speech wishing the leavers good luck in the future. The rest of the school then sang a song to wish the leavers ‘goodbye.’

The children are now on holiday until September 3rd. Next Wednesday Mr Stanley will be travelling to Uganda and will be visiting Kafuro Primary School again. He is very very excited.

Finally, when Yowasi visited Liss Junior School he presented Mr Burford with a painting of two elephants to show the strength of the relationship between the twinned schools. This has now been framed and is on display in the school office.
