Today when we visited the garden we could see that our crops had been growing well. The flower seeds are much bigger and the salad leaves were much taller. We had to put some netting over the strawberries as the birds decided to help themselves to the ripening fruit! The slugs have also been munching on our raddishes! We picked the last few raddishes to have a taste ourselves before the slugs had eaten them all. Peter, Matilda and Yasmin each tasted a raddish they had planted only a few weeks before. They all thought that they were too peppery and had to drink lots of water afterwards!!
How are the sweet potatoes growing in Uganda? Have you been able to eat any yet?
