Well I am pleased to say that all of the children came back rested and ready for work this week. Revision continued in both Literacy and Numeracy and we began our new topic on the Victorians.
We have a lot to look forward to this term – Streatley and Calshot trips, another trip to Watts Gallery, an upper school performance of Macbeth, a musical treat for parents at the end of term by MG and KB, not to mention the dreaded SATS! More information will be available for each of these nearer to the time.
Many pupils in MG are involved in Newspaper Club and we were lucky enough to have a guest at our latest meeting; Paul Ferguson, a reporter from The Petersfield Herald, came along and talked about his work. The children were thoroughly prepared with some excellent questions for him. It was a great insight as to what is involved in day to day journalism.
