With better and warmer weather finally arriving in the UK, Mr Haycock and Mr Stanley took the opportunity to go and check on our two colonies of bees to see if they had survived over the winter. There was plenty of good news. Both colonies appeared to be in good health with some of the bees taking advantage of the warmer weather and searching for pollen and nectar from early flowering plants. The Imo bees still had plenty of honey left (as the photo below shows), so we are confident of producing our first jars of honey in May.
We would like to ask our friends in Kafuro how your bees are progressing? When will you expect to extract honey from your hives?
