Bee hives arrive at Liss

At a special assembly this afternoon Mr Burford announced to the school that we had bought three bee hives and will shortly be acquiring colonies of bees. We hope that in a year’s time we will be selling Liss Junior School honey. In the meantime we hope that the bees will collect enough food to feed themselves over the winter while pollinating crops and growing in numbers. One of the highlights of the assembly was some of the children from across the school walking into the hall in our new bee suits.

We look forward to sending honey over to Uganda in the Summer of 2015 for the children at Kafuro to taste.
